Patient billing advocacyChecking a bill is free. You only pay if we find something.
BindridgeMedical billing review

Most medical bills are never checked. Yours can be.

Send us the bill, the denial letter, or the charge you don't recognize. We read it, tell you what's wrong with it, and write the letter that disputes it.

Nothing to pay unless we find something. Your document is deleted as soon as the review finishes.

Three things worth checking

Each one asks a different question about the same piece of paper. If you're not sure which applies, start with the first.

Did they bill it correctly?

Medical bill review

We go line by line through an itemized bill looking for charges billed twice, quantities that don't match the care given, arithmetic that doesn't add up, and services dated outside your stay.

Review a bill

Were they allowed to refuse?

Denial appeal

If your insurer denied a claim, you have the right to appeal it. We read the denial, identify the grounds to challenge it, and draft the appeal letter with the deadlines you need to meet.

Check a denial

Were they allowed to bill you at all?

Surprise bill check

Federal law bans billing you the balance for emergency care and for out-of-network providers treating you at an in-network hospital. If that's your bill, you may owe nothing.

Check a charge

Check a document

Upload a photo or a PDF. The review takes under a minute, and you'll see what we found before you decide anything.

PDF or a clear photo. If your bill only shows a total with no breakdown, ask the provider for an itemized bill first — we can't check a summary.

How it works

The check costs nothing. You decide what to do after you've seen the result.

Send the document

A photo of the bill is fine. We read it, pull out every line, and delete the file once the review is done.

See what we found

You get the number of problems and what they total. If we find nothing, we tell you that plainly and you pay nothing.

Send the letter

For $29.99 you get every problem explained and a finished dispute letter with the details filled in, ready to send.

Questions people ask

What does it cost?
The check is free. If we find problems, it's $29.99 once to see them all and get the dispute letter. There's no subscription and nothing is charged automatically.
What if you don't find anything?
Then you pay nothing and we tell you the bill looks correct. That's a real outcome and it happens.
Do you keep my document?
No. The file is processed and deleted. We don't store bills, and we don't sell anything to anyone.
Are you lawyers?
No. We review documents and prepare a letter that you send yourself, in your own name. We don't contact your provider or insurer for you and we don't represent you.
What's a surprise bill?
Since 2022, federal law has banned providers from billing you the difference between their charge and what your insurance paid in two common situations: emergency care, and treatment by an out-of-network provider at a hospital that is in your network. Air ambulance is covered too. Ground ambulance and care you chose out-of-network generally are not.
My bill just shows a total. Can you still check it?
Not usefully. Ask the provider's billing department for an itemized statement — you're entitled to one — then send that.
